NEMA connections are standard US electrical connectors. RJ-11s are standard phone jacks and RJ-45s are 8-prong jacks used most often as 10baseT (or Ethernet) connections. There are other specialty outlet types as well. Most importantly, be sure you purchase a UPS that is compatible with the connectors of the devices you wish to connect to it.
